Hexagon Motifs for a Rug

Hexagonal motif. Very suitable for rugs made from polyester cord without a core. It holds its shape well, and elements of different colors can be combined in the fabric. By changing the number of rows, you can create a motif of larger or smaller size.

I recommend making the lift stitches as shown in the diagram above, so the lift will be inconspicuous in the finished piece.

It's best to insert the hook into the base of the stitch from the previous row, rather than into the space between the stitches. This will make the stitches look more even, and the finished piece will appear more symmetrical.

To join multiple motifs, use an extended thread from a cord. Insert the thread into the stitches as shown in the pattern. Do not pull the thread too tightly.
